We Gather Around to Hear the Story
The story to tell tonight started with a kid and a dream to be on camera. That dream bounced around like a pinball and in true ball is wild fashion landed in software engineering thanks to early grade classes to learn to program video games. But the story, like all good stories, has some twists. That dream to be on camera never truly faded, just morphed like a pinball smacked by a sling kicker. The stories, from short fiction and poems to articles for a publication took to the Web. However, maintaining web pages is boring <webmaster>HEY NOW!</webmaster> but that is not this story. While the story isn’t finished many chapters have already been written.

Some old discovered broadcast dubious about the coming together of four guys enthusiastic about all tech from retro to modern driven by a passion to create. The pack alpha, burned by boomer logic and told repeatedly to shut up and fail by management had a better idea. Ignite the spark, watch where the fire of ambition leads and welcome those who also choose success into the pack. Accept the invitation to gather at table by the campfire and collaborate to bring back the excitement in tech that old men in boardrooms are plotting to rid from the world.
Generation ADHD
It’s a thing! Movement that stimulates the brain, fast action and constant consumption of audio and visuals keeps the creative juices flowing. It is a curse right up there with Lycanthropy. And yet, our own community of software people built infrastructure that directly promotes and flat out encourages short attention spans. Or, what if it is not a curse. What if a creation can be made that looks into a real world question partnered with an amazing editor that decides to rapid fire supporting evidence? People with ADHD building for people with ADHD. This appears to be the format of the most successful video that was simply a product of gathering personal education into a new venture. What if the reality is you're beaten down by those who dare say you have a curse are actually trying exert authority to hide that it really is a super power? When in a town full of subordination, be the werewolf.
Zone In, Geek Out
The zone channel was born from days gone by as a Pin Game Journal contributor. Thank you pinball community but now it's time to join all things vintage, tech gaming and fun into one big Geekdom. Gaming while learning to program in BASIC on both the Texas Instrument TI-99 and even better, the Commodore 64 is a thing that happened. The days when Vibe Coding meant punk rock was playing while building don't have to be lost to the mists of time. Plus some conventions are better than others and one reason to get lost in the zone is to just kick back and have fun. Conventions on the road in other towns? Perfect! Who doesn't love late night 'Trippin after dark? Or is that the main reason to Geek Out? If you're not zoned in, it shall remain a mystery.
